Campesino Coffee House

Found this hidden jewel…. (yep! You guessed it) on Google. Searched up coffee shops and this one popped up on my way to work. I saw the images online and the reviews. Pictures were nice and reviews were pretty good, average 4 out of 5 stars on Yelp. So, I set out to taste and see it for myself.

Let me just tell you, the pictures do not do it justice. It’s clever how they converted this bungalow into a coffee house without losing the beauty and charm of the home. It’s small and cozy ( maximum occupancy 60). Very quiet, and very friendly. Just very cute!

I ordered my usual vanilla latte, and let me tell you, it was delicious!! I usually like my coffee on the sweeter side and with soy milk, but they didn’t carry soy, only almond and coconut. So I did regular milk instead. I don’t know what the barista did or how she churned the milk but it was super creamy on the top. One of the best latte’s I’ve ever had!

I also ordered a piece of pan dulce (spanish for sweet bread). The guy behind the counter asked me if I wanted to have it warmed up, and I said sure! So I thought he was going to stick it in the microwave. But to my surprise, he warmed up in the small oven. I don’t think I have ever had my bread warmed up like that. Very tasty to say the least.

Total cost: $6.48. About average on what you might pay at any local coffee shops these days. So, to me this is a luxury that I will do on occasion.

Conclusion, If you are ever in the Montrose/Westhiemer area, stop by this quaint, unique place. You wont be disappointed!!

  1. Howdy would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having
a hard time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most
blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
