I have come to notice God operates in seasons and cycles. Like for instant, we have the same birthday every year on the same day, right?! Duh!! That’s why we anticipate our day because we know its coming, unless of course we die. (But with long life he will satisfy you):)
So it’s like that with every season. We know that’s something is about to shift and that something new is about to come. So we anticipate what the season is going to bring us. Like for instant, we just entered into the spring season where things start to warm up, flowers begin to bloom. We get to shake off the winter blues and get active.
Spring is a season of expectation. We are expecting the things that were dormant to start awakening. If you know anything about flowering plants, some are perennials. Meaning: they bloom for a specific season and then “die” off the next. But, they don’t die, they just become dormant, awaiting for their due season to bloom again.
I think there’s some of us today that feel “dead”. We are going through the motions. Day in and day out. Everything that once brought us excitement or joy has become dull. Might be your job, your relationships, your goals, etc. You know what I’m talking about. It’s just blah!!! honestly, i felt to share this word that even though things feel dead or dormant, God is about to move in such a way, that you will start to wait in expectation. Things will begin to bloom again. Hope will rise again.
“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
Isaiah 43:19
Like I said, one of the ways God operates is in seasons and cycles. We know for instant, if there’s drought, rain will come. It’s a given. And some of you have been in a drought for sometime now. God says in this particular passage, “I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Meaning: I will bring into existence what shouldn’t be there in the first place!!! He is going to bring peace where there shouldn’t be. Favor where you don’t deserve it. Joy instead of a spirit of heaviness!!
He also mentions he will “create a path in the wilderness.” When I picture the wilderness, I think of nothing but brush all round, trees and branches everywhere. Chaos. Don’t know where to go because everything looks the same. Confusing. And some of us have been in a state of confusion. Don’t know where to go or turn to. It’s just been chaotic!! But God says he will make a path in the wilderness, because we know paths lead to somewhere And paths ultimately lead to someone; Jesus!! He gives us direction when we don’t know where to go. we can always turn to him.
I believe God is about to break all confusion, all chaos, dryness, apathy, dullness off of you. In this new season, you will have clarity, direction, passion, vision and drive to do what God has called you to do. It’s time you start seeing what God has already begun in you.
Drought was your last season. Rain is in this season. As a matter a fact, a RIVER is coming!! You are about to be so soaked and so full that people are going to ask you, “Why are you so happy?!? Why are you so joyful?!? You look like you’re glowing!!!” God is going to make a way where there is no way!! Not because we deserve it or we’ve earned it. But it’s because of his grace, his mercy and his great love towards us. Our part is to be on the look out and give him all the credit when we see all of this take place in our lives.
IT’S ALREADY BEGUN. IT’S ALREADY HERE. YOU WILL SEE IT. BE EXPECTING.
I CAN SEE IT! I CAN SEE IT! I CAN SEE IT!
Love, Gris
