I know it’s been awhile since I have posted anything but I really felt like I needed to come on here and share this dream that the Lord gave me about a week ago.
In my dream I was on a bike but for some reason I couldn’t take it on the terrain I was stepping into. So I left the bike on the side, but I suddenly looked down and there was a snake attached to the front of my boot! I could see it’s long, sharp fangs where it wanted to bite me on the toe. I was taken back, seeing that I didn’t feel the bite, so I knew it didn’t penetrate through the boot. I couldn’t shake it off lose, so I had to take the boot off. I looked up and saw where I needed to go. I saw a temple in the horizon, but just the outline because the sun was setting. It was truly a beautiful sight, like you would see on a postcard from a foreign land. I started off that direction, until I saw a man in a booth, throwing a snake at me. Although he threw it at me, I wasn’t afraid. So I flipped him off, (letting him know it didn’t phase me) and I started to run because I felt an urgency to get where I was going. He got upset that I flipped him off, and he grabbed a bunch of the snakes and launched them towards me. While I was running full steam ahead, I looked up at where he threw them, and from far above it looked like a flock of birds. And they dropped on the field that I was running on. I flipped the guy off again. I was running and dodging them. There was two frogs at the end of the bunch of snakes, which were black and purple and looked poisonous but I had already reached the end of the field and had managed to get away unharmed.
This is what I feel the interpretation of the dream means:
Me leaving the bike on the side of the road: I had to go at it alone. Our relationship with the Lord is a solo journey. One we have to go at it “alone”. Seeking God and having a relationship with him is one that we are responsible for. No one else can have one for you. He desires us and longs for me; you.
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah 31:3
In the dream I had to take my boot off to get the snake off. In the natural, I love shoes and it pained me to take it off and leave it behind: Letting go of the past and pressing forward. Or leaving relationships that are “poisoning” and hindering our walk with the Lord, is not easy. If it was, we wouldn’t be caught in toxic relationships. But if we are wanting to go where Jesus is calling and leading us, (the temple) we have to let go of some relationships that are hindering our walk with him.
Of course the man in the booth was the Enemy (Satan). He tried to throw at me something that would “trip” me up or to slow me down, but when I flipped him off, it got him upset. Tried it again a second time with more snakes, again failed. The devil will try all that he can to stop us, and take us out but thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ, he has given us all power and authority against the evil one.
Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. Luke 10:19
The snakes and frogs are both cold blooded animals but different species: meaning different rulers and different principalities, that are designed to operate differently but to have the same result, and that’s to take you out! He comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Again, satan will use anything and anyone for us not to fulfill our purposes and plans on the earth that God has for us. But Thank God for his armor!
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13.
God has assignments, a purpose, plans for your life that are uniquely tailored to you. He wants to walk intimately with you. Take you places where you have only dreamed and imagined. But it will come at a price. The enemy will come at you like a flood but God will raise up a barrier for you. And if you feel like you’re under attack, be encouraged with this; this too shall pass. This is only a season. A short period of time. Do not be afraid, God is with you. Like the ending of the dream, I was untouched and unharmed, and so will you.
Be encouraged, be strengthened and of good cheer, God fights for you!
